This Los Gatos project combined a home addition with a full interior and exterior remodel, built around views of the trees and valley.
Kitchen: olive slab-front cabinets with brass cup pulls, a black range hood with a brass band, matte black tall cabinets with a panel-ready refrigerator, dark countertops, handmade iridescent square tile on the backsplash and a full feature wall, a white farmhouse sink with brass faucets under black-framed windows, a pot filler, and brass saucer pendants.
Great room and addition: French-pattern travertine floors, a tiled fireplace with a walnut mantel, built-in walnut window benches, and walls of black-framed sliding glass doors that open onto a new wood deck with valley views.
Bathrooms: black hexagon floor tile, glossy white handmade wall tile, frameless glass showers with tile benches and brass fixtures, walnut floating vanities with vessel sinks, round brass mirrors and glass pendants.
Exterior: dark horizontal siding, a modern walnut entry door with frosted sidelights, brass lantern sconces, and new exterior lighting along the deck.
