Our Work

New Homes Built by One Licensed Contractor

Axiom Renovation builds new homes across the Bay Area, from ground-up construction on an empty lot to knocking down an existing house and rebuilding. You work with one licensed general contractor (CA Lic. #1105006) through permits, site work, construction and final inspection.

Many of our new builds include more than one structure. We often build a main house together with a detached ADU and garage, and plan the utilities, grading and driveway once for the whole property.

Have a lot, a set of plans, or just an idea? Tell us about your property and we will schedule a time to walk it with you.

What we offer

Types of New Construction We Build

Every new build starts with the site. Slope, soil, access, utilities and local zoning shape what can be built and how. We review all of it with you before construction begins.

Ground-Up Custom Homes

A new home built from the foundation up on your lot, to your plans. We coordinate with your architect and engineer and manage permits and inspections through completion.

Knock-Down and Rebuild

Replacing an older house with a new one on the same lot. We handle demolition, utility disconnects and reconnects, and the new build as one project.

New Home + ADU

A main house and a detached ADU built together. Planning both at once lets the two buildings share site work, trenching and utility connections.

Hillside and Rural Sites

Sloped or remote lots that need retaining walls, grading, a septic system or a well connection. We plan and permit this site work together with the house.

About Us

Why Bay Area Homeowners Choose Axiom to Build Their Home

Axiom Renovation is a licensed California general contractor (CA Lic. #1105006) based in San Jose. Our team brings more than 30 years of hands-on construction experience. One team handles permits, site work, utility coordination and construction, so you have a single point of contact from start to finish.

New construction involves more than the house itself: grading, drainage, retaining walls, utility service and sometimes septic and well systems. We plan that work from the start so it does not hold up the schedule later.

Communication and Coordination with Project Manager

At Axiom Renovation, we understand that clear and open communication is key to the success of any construction project. Our dedicated project manager will keep you informed and involved throughout the entire construction process, ensuring that your vision for your new space is realized. We work closely with all parties involved in the project, including subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors, to ensure that everyone is on the same page and that the project is completed on time and within budget. With our commitment to communication and coordination, you can be confident that your new home will be a success.

Clear, Itemized Proposals

Every lot and every home is different, so we do not publish one-size-fits-all prices. You receive a written, itemized proposal that shows what is included, what is an allowance, and how payments are scheduled by construction stage.

Current Project: New Hillside Home with a Detached ADU

A new 3,863 square foot main house with a detached 1,200 square foot, three-bedroom ADU and an 899 square foot garage, on a hillside property in the Mount Hamilton area east of San Jose. The scope includes a new septic system, a well connection, retaining walls, and a concrete driveway with a turnaround, under four separate permits.

Where We Build New Homes

We build new homes in San Jose and across Santa Clara County and the Peninsula, including Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Palo Alto, Saratoga, Los Gatos and Cupertino.

New Construction Questions We Hear Most

Do you work with my architect?

Yes. If you already have plans, we build from them and coordinate with your architect and engineer throughout. If you are starting from scratch, we can help you put the design team together.

How long does it take to build a new home?

It depends on the size of the home, the site work and how long the city or county takes to review plans. We give you a written schedule with your proposal so you know what to expect at each stage.

What permits does a new home need?

A building permit for the house, plus separate permits for related work such as grading, retaining walls, a septic system or an ADU. We prepare, submit and track each application.

Can you build a new home and an ADU at the same time?

Yes. Building both as one project lets us plan utilities, trenching, the driveway and site work once for both buildings.

Can you build on a hillside or rural lot?

Yes. Sloped and rural lots often need retaining walls, grading, a septic system or a well connection, and we plan that work together with the house.
