Bathrooms from the Old Quad to Rivermark

Santa Clara was founded around Mission Santa Clara in 1777, and its 1866 street grid is today’s Old Quad. Most of the city was built as single-family subdivisions from the 1950s to the 1970s, when it grew from about 3 to 15 square miles. We remodel bathrooms in all of it: historic Old Quad homes, mid-century ranches and newer Rivermark homes.

A Watch-Out: Bedroom and Bath Counts

Interior bathroom remodels go to building plan check. But if a remodel adds bathrooms, Santa Clara watches the totals: a project that results in five or more bathrooms or five or more bedrooms requires a Development Review Hearing. We plan bathroom additions with that limit in mind.
