Kitchen Permits in Danville

Kitchen remodels are permitted and inspected by the Town. Danville’s submittal requirements for remodels include plan sets, stamped structural calculations when walls or beams change, Title 24 energy forms and CALGreen mandatory measures. Work that adds volume to the home also falls under the Town’s construction and demolition debris program.

Applications can be submitted in person or through the Town’s Online Permit Center / Citizen Access Portal. Inspections: danville.ca.gov/CAP or (925) 314-3333, before 3 p.m. for the next business day.

Danville’s 50% rule: if a remodel removes or replaces at least 50% of the wall length and 50% of the roof within one year, the whole project must meet current new-construction codes, including fire district sprinkler requirements.
